Opera Summer
Summer is approaching, and young artists who love opera—your stage awaits! Keystone Academy proudly presents "Opera Summer," an immersive program inviting children with operatic dreams to experience the unique charm of opera and the magic of the stage under professional guidance, embarking on their own artistic journey.
In this program, students will deeply study and rehearse children's chorus selections from world-class operas carefully curated and arranged by the faculty, including but not limited to Carmen (French), Cats (English), The Phantom of the Opera (English), Hansel and Gretel (German), and Tosca (Italian). Specific repertoire for each session will be determined by participants' age and musical background. Each opera represents a perfect fusion of emotion and melody; through singing, children will gain invaluable artistic experiences while experiencing the collision and blending of different cultures in a multilingual environment.
Notably, this program features a prestigious mentorship team. Instructors include veteran performers at the National Level 2 rank or above from the China National Opera House, with project coordination supported by professionals from the National Centre for the Performing Arts and the Central Conservatory of Music. These masters will share their expertise generously, guiding students through in-depth opera analysis while imparting refined vocal techniques and outstanding stage presence, accelerating their professional growth. Ultimately, under their dedicated guidance, students will perform classic children's chorus selections on stage alongside professional artists from the China National Opera House. Outstanding performers will also have the opportunity to participate in future China National Opera House productions as children's chorus members—gaining rare experience collaborating with top-tier artists and adding a remarkable achievement to their artistic portfolios.
