Opera Summer
As summer approaches, we would warmly invites children with dreams of opera to join our “Opera Summer” program. Under professional guidance, immerse yourselves in the unique charm of opera and experience the magical impact of the stage, embarking on your own artistic journey.
In this project, children will delve into the study of selected children's choral pieces from world-famous operas, including Carmen (French), Cats (English), The Phantom of the Opera (English), Hansel and Gretel (German), and Tosca (Italian). Each opera is a perfect blend of emotion and melody. As children sing their hearts out, they will not only gain precious artistic experiences but also feel the collision and integration of different cultures in a multilingual environment.
Led by senior actors of Grade II or above from the Central Opera House and coordinated by personnel from the National Centre for the Performing Arts and the Central Conservatory of Music, they will share their knowledge and experience. They will lead the students to deeply analyze the opera works, teach exquisite singing skills and excellent stage performance, and help the children's professional level to improve rapidly. Finally, under the careful guidance of the teachers, the students will perform the classic children's choral pieces on the same stage with the professional actors of the Central Opera House. Outstanding students will have the opportunity to participate in the children's choral parts of the operas to be staged by the Central Opera House in the future, and gain the rare opportunity to cooperate with top artists, adding a bright stroke to their artistic resume.
