2025 Cambridge Keystone Summer Program
-A Journey of Academic Excellence and Personal Growth
For the first time, the University of Cambridge is bringing its summer school program to China, specifically designed for middle school students aged 12 to 14. This program aims to provide an immersive academic experience and an environment for English application. Covering cutting-edge STEM subjects such as biochemistry/chemical engineering, computer science, geography and earth sciences, and engineering, the courses are taught directly by professors and lecturers from the University of Cambridge. These educators possess profound expertise in their fields and extensive teaching experience, enabling them to guide students in exploring the mysteries of the academic world. Additionally, five current Cambridge students will serve as teaching assistants, facilitating Cambridge-style seminars and academic English courses, and providing close mentorship throughout the program. The entire project is coordinated and guided by an experienced team of educational professionals, ensuring comprehensive growth for students in both academic and social aspects.
Rich Curriculum and Academic Experience
The summer program offers a diverse schedule, including subject experience courses, academic English courses (British parliamentary debate and drama workshops), evening activities, and field trips. Through practical and interactive learning, students will gain in-depth understanding of the foundational knowledge of each subject and its real-world applications, such as microbial fermentation in biochemistry and artificial intelligence model building in computer science. The academic English courses will focus on developing students' spoken English and critical thinking skills, enhancing their language expression and teamwork abilities through debate and drama performances. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in intellectual competitions, sports activities, talent shows, and weekend museum visits or field trips related to STEM subjects, expanding their horizons and improving their overall quality.
Graduation and Achievement Showcase
At the end of the two-week program, students will showcase their learning outcomes through formal debate competitions and drama performances. Outstanding students will receive special awards in recognition of their exceptional performance in academics, teamwork, and personal growth. This Cambridge summer program is not only an academic exploration journey but also a crucial opportunity to cultivate future global citizens, helping students build confidence, unlock their potential, and lay a solid foundation for their future studies and career development in an international educational environment.
