Weekly Message from HOS 2026/01/26-2026/01/30
Dear Keystonians,
Wishing you a happy last Friday of Major Cold (大寒, Dàhán)!
Thanks to our facilities team for ensuring our campus is dressed beautifully for the New Year despite the cold. If you haven’t seen the red lanterns on the oval after sunset, I highly recommend it—they’re stunning.
This week, our campus buzzed with positive energy. I enjoyed the excitement of the ACAMIS Basketball tournament, thanks to our dedicated coaches, players, and the KAP office for their superb organization.
We also held a session with faculty to share key insights from our recent parent survey. The results powerfully affirm our shared goals: Keystone families believe in our mission, want to know more about their child’s classroom and school life, seek guidance on supporting learning at home, and value high-quality communication.
These insights lead us to essential questions for our continual improvement as a learning community:
How can we better connect families to the daily experiences of our students?
How can we better communicate all that we know about each student’s journey?
How can we better support families as partners in their child’s learning?
I look forward to sharing these same insights with families next week on Tuesday. For parents who haven’t yet RSVP’d to one of the two sessions—there is still time. [SIGN UP]
As we head into the final school week, and into the Chinese New Year, I’m grateful for the commitment I see every day to asking these questions and finding the answers together.
Warmly,
Emily
