Weekly Message from Head of School 2025/05/26-2025/05/30
Dear Keystonians,
Happy Friday! Wishing you and your families a safe, joyful, and peaceful Dragon Boat Festival.
For those of us in schools, this time of year is often called the “100 days of May”—a whirlwind of events, final assessments, reports, and performances. It’s no surprise if we’re all feeling a little weary as we enter the final month of the school year.
And this fatigue isn’t unique to educators. Families and students, too, may feel the weight of this high-stakes season, when demands are high and energy reserves run low. June is just around the corner! Let’s go! Jiayou!
As we head into the last long-holiday weekend of the school year, let’s pause, take a deep breath, and recharge for the final stretch. This is our chance to finish strong and celebrate the remarkable year we’ve built together.
In these busy days, let’s commit to slowing down—to responding to challenges with patience, to being mindful of the power our emotions carry, and to overreacting (in the best way) with gratitude, kindness, and understanding. Let’s promise one another that every interaction, no matter how small, will reflect our values and deepen the connections that make our community so special.
Our shared values shine brightest when we draw strength from them, allowing their enduring truths to guide us—not just in words, but in daily actions.
I can’t wait to witness the joy, achievements, and collective pride of this final month. However we may feel, remember: We’re in this together. We belong.
Yours,
Emily
