Weekly Message from Head of School 2025/09/22-2025/09/26
Dear Keystonians,
What a vibrant and joyful close to the week we had at Viva La KeyFes! The campus was alive with energy, from the fantastic student and faculty performances to the bustling activity around every booth and game. My heartfelt thanks go to our Office of Marketing and Communications for their vision and hard work in bringing this event to life. And to every colleague, parent, and student who volunteered their time—whether supervising a bouncy castle, hosting an activity, or performing with such spirit—thank you. You are the ones who built this wonderful celebration of our community.
As we head into a well-deserved break, we have the special fortune of celebrating two important holidays together: the National Day holiday and the Mid-Autumn Festival. This is a time for family, gratitude, and reflection.
The Mid-Autumn Festival falls near the solar term of 寒露, or “Cold Dew”, which begins the week we return to school. This period marks a true turning towards autumn, as the last of the season’s heat gives way to cooler, crisper days. It’s a time of harvesting, of preparation, and of quiet beauty. I love this time of year as we savor the afternoon light and prepare for the colder months.
This holiday, I hope you all find moments for contentment and connection with your loved ones.
On behalf of all of us at Keystone, I wish you and your families a happy National Day holiday, a joyous Mid-Autumn Festival filled with bright moons, happy memories, and a peaceful break.
Warmly,
Emily
