Thousands attended and elatedly enjoyed the second Annual Keystone Community Carnival last Saturday. Lined with vendors of varying sorts of trinkets and treasures, an array of culinary delights, and games soaked in fun, it was a family day for all ages and everyone. The fun reached a high tempo after 2pm with original and cover songs from Keystone’s own student band, Insomnia followed by one of the city’s most popular music bands, The Beijing Beatles. The tunes kept the carnival rocking on till early evening.
It was also a day of service for many students. For instance, students from grade 6 planned various activities to raise funds for the Little Adoption Shop, especially a dog name Dahuang. Students, teachers and many parents were involved. Over RMB 12000 was raised by providing services such as massages, manicures, temporary tattoo art, and fresh juices. The annual carnival is an occasion for the school community to celebrate another academic year, and share the day with the wider public.
