Here at Keystone Academy, learning and learning in service is a courageous and commendable pursuit that inspires and benefits not only the Academy and its members but also the communities beyond the school.
We are thrilled to share with everyone the seventh edition of The Keystone Magazine, titled “Learning and Leading in Service.” In this issue, we highlight the stories that capture the spirit of service of our community members.
Several students from the Class of 2019, our second cohort of graduates, talk about how their initiatives have led them to the path of self-discovery and strengthening their passions.
And speaking of paths, one of our pupils will guide us on an expedition to the Last Frontier – Antarctica – from a passageway of cuddly penguins to a hill to hear something you might not have heard before.
Elsewhere in the issue, our faculty members explore how Service Learning is integrated into our curriculum to prepare our students for tomorrow, as well as how it brings families and communities closer together.
“We know that we grow in and through each other,” Head of School Malcolm McKenzie says in his foreword. “This edition of The Keystone Magazine is about that. The magazine cover says it all. Service with a smile. Service with two smiles.”
The Keystone Magazine is beyond chronicling the Academy’s news and events; it is also a space to reflect as our journey continues, progresses, and evolves. For copies, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
