Keystone: A School of Sportsmanship
Posted 11/02/2018 01:05PM

Over the last several weeks, Keystone students have received high marks in a variety of sports tournaments, embodying the school’s five shared values in the sportsmanship they displayed. How students deal with the emotions of winning and even losing, are fundamental components of techniques Keystone teachers utilize in their coaching.

Garnering a reputation as the school of sportsmanship, our winning teams are being recognized for their sportsmanship in China. The reason for this can be summed up quite simply: Keystone’s Five Shared Values and the Keystone teacher coaches who instill these values in our young athletes in the classroom and beyond.

Keystone Swimming Champions of the World

On Saturday, October 27th Keystone students participated in three days of an intense swimming competition with 19 school from across China. There were a grand total 790 swimmers and 750 races. Our students received 8 Gold medals, 12 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals in addition to 2 swimming relay gold medals and 3 silver relay medals. Three age group champions were awarded for their fantastic athletic skills, with Keystone taking home the most average points per team against The International School of Beijing, Dulwich College Shanghai, and the Shanghai American School.
