On October 12th, Keystone Academy brought together renowned violin virtuoso and conductor Chai Liang and Asian pop artist Suby Cheng for a magical night on the central campus lawn. Symphony on the Green: Cosmic Synergies, transformed Keystone’s outdoor concert to an otherworldly experience, fusing classical melodies with modern, electronic rhythms.
This year’s autumn concert was both intimate and grand, with striking high beam, ultra-ray show lights piercing the night sky. Opening the performance were select classical scores performed by the China Film Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Chai Liang. The orchestra took the stage with thirteen scores of music, ranging from original classical pieces to riveting renditions of contemporary film scores.
The audience was delighted by the music. Choreographed dance performances were interspersed throughout the musical performances, keeping the audience engaged throughout the evening.
This year, special guest artist, Asian electronic sensation Suby Cheng performed alongside the China Film Symphony Orchestra. The air reverberated with modern, electronic dance tunes, drawing a crowd of excited fans around the stage. Suby’s performances were accompanied by neon lights and infused with traditional Chinese music, as an ode to her hometown and Chinese cultural heritage.
It is always such a special experience and privilege to attend a concert in one’s own home. Attendees went home filled with the bliss and beauty of music on this wonderful autumn evening.
