Keystone in the Media
Keystone Academy was featured in Times Square, often referred to as “the world’s crossroad,” in New York, for a second time since September. The Academy has strategically chosen Times Square to display its pictures to communicate the school’s ambition to build a new model of education and promote the idea of a “World School”.
Iconic as a global cultural center, barometer of global trends, and hub for commercial and media industries, Times Square, and all that it symbolizes, is an ideal location for Keystone Academy to communicate not only its Chinese identity but also its intention to become a globally-minded educational institution.
Since inception, Keystone has attracted a world-class Leadership Team, which includes educators who have served as senior leaders of prestigious schools on three continents. Currently, the Academy is actively participating in recruitment fairs in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, London, Boston, Singapore, and Thailand to recruit the best, most highly-qualified teachers to join the school’s Leadership Team in building this new model of education. At the same time, Keystone is bringing together bright minds from around the globe to build its student body.
Head of School Mr. Malcolm McKenzie describes the school best: “Keystone Academy is not a typical international school. Keystone is a Chinese school with international flavor, and with an international program. We blend the best of Chinese, American and international educational traditions. We learn from the world and for the world.” The Academy’s broadcast in Times Square is symbolic as a message of the consent of and increasing attention on Mr. McKenzie’s educational philosophy and visionary model of education.
