Teacher Tips for Middle School Success - Scheduling (Middle school parents welcome)
Parents of day students, as well as any interested parents of boarders, are invited to a parent education event on supporting the middle school child, with a particular focus on scheduling.
During March, all secondary students learned about and discussed a number of issues relating to health and wellness in advisory: diet, sleep, exercise, puberty changes and balance. One area of particular focus was on how scheduling can affect success at school. In this presentation, Dean of Students Kelli Sanchez and teachers Kalian Wang and Katarina Gram will share insights from their conversations with middle school students, and provide tips for how parents can support their middle school child. We will focus on health, sleep, homework and family schedules. How to support your child in managing their time and developing a well-balanced schedule that supports both personal happiness and success in school will be discussed.
