Born in California and raised in Arizona, Zadok Huang is a second-generation American citizen. His parents originally migrated to the U.S. from Taiwan. He completed his primary, and secondary school education in Scottsdale, Arizona and received a B.S. in Finance and a B.A. in East Asian Studies from the University of Arizona. Mr. Huang moved to Beijing in 2006 to study Chinese at the Beijing Language and Culture University (BCLU) and pursue a deeper understanding of Chinese culture. After a year at BLCU, he also completed a semester of Chinese study at the prestigious Inter-University Program for Chinese Language Studies. Mr. Huang has worked in Beijing as an Analyst conducting research for US-based hedge funds. He was also a Manager at a start-up social enterprise, which used income from language tutoring services to support underprivileged Chinese children, such as orphans and migrant children.
