First TEDxKeystone Academy a Grand Success
Posted 11/10/2017 01:10PM
On 4 November, Keystone launched its inaugural TEDx event offering inspiring speakers, student musical performances and skill honing workshops around the theme ‘Off the Beaten Path’. With the overall organization left to a team of just eight students, the success of Keystone’s first TEDx was a reflection of the event architects’ vision and collaboration on display.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is an independently organized TED event aiming to spark discussion and connections within the community. The eight feature speakers this year included entrepreneur Lionel Hong, who uses Zen to explore the universe and help create simple answers for complex questions.

Kamani Suppiah set up a social enterprise to assist youths with learning new skills through storytelling and photojournalism.

Amy Lam, a mother of two and grandmother to six, embarked on a 3,500 km hike on the Appalachian Trail at the age of 56. She believes in living life to the fullest and wishes to spread this enthusiasm wherever she goes.

And Sam Waldo, co-founder of Mantra, a sunglasses brand that, for each pair sold, donates a pair of prescription glasses to a needy student in Yunnan. To view more highlights, please click here.
