Over the past two weeks, grades 4 to 12 students took their learning outdoors as they set out on their annual camping trips. Grades 4, 5, 6 and 9 were away at Baihe, grade 7 went to Shimen Shan Mountains, and grade 8 to Sun Valley. Grade 10 traveled to Yanqing, grade 11 to Inner Mongolia, and grade 12 to Miyun Miaoliang.
These autumn trips are part of Keystone’s experiential learning program that is based on our educational philosophy of “learning by doing and understanding.” Camping is an ideal experiential learning activity for students to learn in and from nature and about themselves.
